AC/DC Dynamics Sponsors Luso Africa Cycling

AC/DC Dynamics is proud to announce that it has become the principle sponsor for the Luso Africa Cycling club. Together with the other sponsors of the club, this will enable the club to make a concerted effort to break into competing at the top level. Specifically this sponsorship has enabled the team to grow from 3 members up to 6, and to also allow the team to travel to Europe in June and July, to compete in some incredible races, during a traditionally quiet period for local competitions. This trip will hopefully provide the team with some invaluable big race experience, and allow them to rub shoulders and learn from some of the best riders in the world.

Luso Africa Cycling Team:
Chris Jooste (captain)
Casper Kruger
Jandre Storm
Jandrich Kotze
John Vlok
Dylan Le Roux

The team have already had a busy start to 2017. The year started off with a 5 day tour in Mpumalanga, where captain Chris Jooste finished 3rd overall, and won the award for the “best young rider” on the tour. After this the team moved on to the Gauteng Provincial Championships, where Chris Jooste placed 1st in the u/23 time trial and the u/23 road race, with Jandre Storm placing 3rd in the u/23 time trial and 2nd in the u/23 road race. Next the team competed in the SA Champs, where Chris Jooste placed 8th for both the time trial and the road race. Following that the team participated in the Dischem “Ride for Sight” race, where Chris Jooste finshed 5th, and Jandrich Kotze finished 8th overall. Most recently the team competed in the Jacaranda race in Pretoria, where Chris Jooste finished 1st and Jandre Storm finished 6th.

Currently the team are training hard for the Argus race in Cape Town on the 12th of March. We are sure that they are going to achieve some fantastic results in this prestigious race.

Below is a break-down of the planned races for the rest of the year, although more races will possibly still be added:

12 March 2017: Argus
23 – 26 March 2017: UCI race
