Purpose: ·
Typical job functions include, but are not limited to :
  1. Cash up daily takings and balance float.
  2. Assist customers with Purchases.
  3. Take payments for retail Invoicing.
  4. Record all incorrect invoices in necessary book or on correct forms, giving reasons.
  5. Effectively and efficiently deliver customer service.
  6. Effectively manage time and utilize quiet periods to assist with admin and filing.
  7. Comply with the cashier policy and procedure
  8. Assist when and where needed
  9. Count out float every morning
  10. Collect cash and credit card payments from customers and record accurately
  11. Make change accurately and efficiently
  12. Issue receipts to customers with invoices
  13. Deal with returns as necessary if customer re-purchased
  14. Maintain cash control over register drawer and verify amounts are correct.
  15. Mark banking (cash/cc/eft/credit) every morning
  16. Complete change request sheet for change from bank
  17. Stamp all paperwork
  18. Order paper rolls for Sure swipe machine in advance
  19. Maintain paper level in copier
  20. Clean up cashier office daily
  21. Hand cash over daily to Administrator with amount given and signed for.
  22. Sign customers up for Loyalty cards (End User)
  23. Redeem and assist customers with loyalty card credits.
  24. Assist with finding reasons for Overs/Unders in the Cash up daily.
  25. Additional responsibilities deemed necessary by management from time to time
  26. Assist and participate in all Stock takes.
