ACDC Express a leading manufacturer, importer, and distributor of quality products in the electrical, electronics, pumps, and tools industry is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Dispatch Manager to join our driven Team.


The role of Dispatch Manager is a supervisory position. It involves delegating tasks to warehouse employees, as well as training new hires. This role also requires someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, as the Dispatch Manager works with many other positions within the warehouse.
To control the workflow of employees at the warehouse. Dispatch Manager’s responsibility to ensure all goods are accounted for with each order, and to ensure each order arrives on time. Dispatch Managers work directly on the warehouse floor to make sure everything gets done.


  • Ensure deliveries are planned daily and ensure the cost of transportation is managed effectively within the distribution costs
  • Analyse and sign off monthly transport accounts
  • Ensure company vehicles are running within requirements (Transport cost vs invoice cost)
  • Manage the dispatch department in-line with the company strategy
  • Deliver stock on time as per customer booking requirements
  • Communicate delays, transport changes, and any issues to the Operation Executive and the relevant parties
  • Manage the POD returns and claims
  • Ensure all processes are followed to ensure we dispatch the correct stock and quantity as per the order
  • Ensure dispatch housekeeping and compliant to company standards
  • Manage the weekly transport meeting
  • Manage staff performance and disciplines
  • Manage outsourcing Drivers
  • Maintaining own Vehicles and ensure they are licensed and serviced.
  • Manage monthly fuel usage
  • Ensure all over border deliveries take place based on the document’s requirements ensure daily reports are managed
  • Analyse dispatch performance and costs in detail to make informed decisions on strategic planning, cost saving and delivery methods


  • Matric
  • Min 5 years’ experience in Warehouse / Logistics
  • Previous experience with managing of staff
  • Retail experience is essential
  • Proficient in MS Office - Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word
