HALO SAFETY FEATURES

CONFIGURATIONS FOR SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS
HALO-UL-60: Its versatility provides daylight conditions underground, ideal or haulages, refuge bays, conveyors, tipping areas.
HALO-UL-36: Ideal where high, bright conditions are required. Commonly used at machine sections of conveyors.
HALO-UL-30: Medium to high bright option, ideal for haulage and general tunnel lighting.
HALO MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS
HALO lighting systems are designed to provide a zero maintenance solution.
It is a low profile (6mm) robust lighting solution that’s installed out of harm’s way, thereby reducing maintenance costs.
Free from dark spots
The LED layout is configured in a strip design, which means that the installation will be completely free from dark spots, as opposed to any globe configuration where these spaced lights can blow or get damaged.
Ring feed design
The ingenious ring feed design, guarantees perfectly functioning lighting even when severed, further reducing the need for repairs.
Swift and effortless repairs
Repairs are effortless and extremely swift to carry out, with low skill level required to do the repairs, which can even be done safely under live conditions (not recommended) due to the low voltage 36 VDC supply.
HALO LED strips use LED Power Supplies to convert the input voltage from 110/240 VAC into a lower voltage of 24 or 36VDC energising the LED's. The Power Supplies have a variable input feature which means it can manage any voltage from 85 - 265VAC, making it suitable for most applications around the world.
The design has an ingenious feature which allows for the connection of a power supply on either one end, or both ends of the strip lighting. In doing so the rated length effectively doubles and the lighting will continue to operate if completely severed or if one of the power supplies fails. Easily applied to existing infrastructure.
HALO is a lightweight and flexible lighting solution, making installation extremely easy and exceptionally rapid to complete:
Easily apply onto existing structures
Due to the low energy consumption, new installations require less cabling and switchgear, and can also be easily attached to existing infrastructures. A single individual can easily carry up to 500 meters or more, and installation of the lighting itself can be done by simply strapping the rolled out HALO strip lighting onto existing structures (by means of PVC cable ties).
HALO’s low profile nature (6mm) allows for quick and easy installation, as opposed to bulky, conventional lighting. HALO’s high strength design ensures that the lighting can be relocated at ease without any damage to the lighting.
Modular and Compatible
The lighting is completely modular with all solutions fully compatible, allowing for inter joining of various HALO solutions with each other. This will provide different levels of illumination on a single run if required. The lighting runs can be cut throughout the run with cutting intervals every 30cm or more, depending on the solution used. Purposely made Tees and 4-Ways allows this immaculate lighting solution to provide endless possibilities.
Variable Voltage Supply Capability
The power controllers supplying the lighting are designed with a variable voltage supply capability, allowing for voltages that comfortably range from 85 VAC to 265 VAC. HALO has a frequency range of 50HZ to 60HZ.

Manufactured by cutting edge market leaders in LED technology. Production of HALO uses cutting edge technology and is governed by strict international quality control protocols by professional and highly trained individuals functioning in lab-like conditions. Production adheres to 5S visual management procedures, ensuring only the highest quality end products, with little or no defects.
LED’s are mounted on PCB’s by highly advanced Samsung SMT Chip Mounters (300 000 LED’s/day),with absolute accuracy and precision, providing excellent quality.
24hrs automated precision soldering ensures high efficiency and eliminates human error
The extrusion process is managed by 4 sets of high speed, High quality extrusion machines, capable of generating 6 000 meters of HALO lighting per day, at full Capacity.

Manufactured to Withstand Extreme Temperatures
HALO functions at optimum efficiency over its life span. No damage detected after 6000 hours at 85°C. Rated IP68, remains 100% waterproof even after a decade of exposure to the elements.
Proven to Pass Weather Resistance Tests
Weather resistance test carried out by Xenon Arc Lighting to simulate accelerated ageing has shown minimum superficial damage to the protective covering (exposed for 6000 hours) with no impact on the luminescence and functionality of the lighting (in accordance with ISO 4892).
Withstands Direct Impact and Explosion
HALO can be used in areas that are exposed to frequent dynamite, whereas competitors’ products within a 50m range have been destroyed.
A full 4 year warranty is provided for all the HALO Lighting solutions with a no nonsense replacement policy on power controllers as well as lighting, for failures due to “factory faults” and not damage caused by client.
HALO lighting was developed in close collaboration with the Department of Mineral Resources to ensure full compliance with the statutory requirement for equipment installed underground and are confident of our full compliance thereof. HALO is SABS approved as well CE approved and currently undergoing approval by Eskom.
