Qualifications, Skills and Competencies Required:
- Matric with at least 5 years relevant experience in a similar role
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work under pressure
- Must have local and international buying experience
Typical Job Functions include, but are not limited to:
- Process Purchase orders
- Requesting various Quotes and negotiating pricing
- Updating of price Lists
- Obtaining Purchase order confirmations
- Assisting accounts department with account queries
- Receipting of goods (occasionally)
- Discrepancies to be liaised with suppliers and resolved
- Sourcing suppliers
- Checking and measuring suppliers’ performance
- Assisting sales department with any queries
- Expediting orders
