ACDC Dynamics a leading manufacturer, importer and distributor of quality products in the electrical, electronics, pumps, and tools industry is looking for an experienced and dynamic Retail Manager to contribute to our company’s sales objectives.
The Retail Manager plans and directs the day-to-day operations of the Retail store.

Develops strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, increase profitability, create store policies and marketing programs that will increase sales and grow the existing customer base. Maintain high store standards and conditions that foster a positive environment.

Ensure customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. Ensure all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability. Forecast staffing needs and develop a recruiting strategy to provide optimal staffing in all areas.

  • Organise all store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel
  • Supervise and guide staff towards maximum performance
  • Deal with complaints from customers and maintain the store’s reputation
  • Inspect the areas in the store and resolve any issues that might arise
  • Plan and oversee in-store promotional events and displays
  • Keep abreast of market tends to determine the need for improvement in the store
  • Analyse sales and revenue reports and make forecasts
  • Organising special promotions, displays and events
  • Updating manager on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues
  • Touring the sales floor regularly, talking to staff and customers and identifying and resolving urgent issues
  • Using information technology to record sales figures, analyse data and forward plan
  • Ensure high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service
  • Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess performance and training needs
  • Overseeing pricing and stock control
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Liaising with head office
  • See that the store is clean at all times
  • Shelves and racks are properly stocked, and products do not fall off the shelves
  • The store is well lit, ventilated and offers a positive ambience to the customers
  • Managing the assets of the store and is responsible for the security and safety of the store.
  • Ensure that sufficient inventory is available at the store to prevent “out of stock”
  • Responsible with subordinates, for planning, managing profit and loss, handling cash at the store as well as collating daily sales as well as other necessary reports
  • Ensure that the store is free from pilferage. Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures
  • Enforce discipline, when necessary, in a fair, but strict manner
  • Ensuring that the cash up procedures are adhered to with the ability to back up the cashiers should they be absent.
  • Provide weekly/monthly relevant reports as per the Company’s requirements
