Bookkeeper
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies Required:
Attention to Detail
Must be able to work under Pressure
Strong in Debt Collecting
5+ years’ experience
PURPOSE:
The purpose of bookkeeping is to create a record of financial transactions that can be summarized for various uses.
Typical Job Functions include, but are not limited to:
1.Accounts Payable
Reconciliation
Request for invoices if necessary
Adjustments of miss-posted transactions if necessary
Compilation of documents for monthly creditors payments

2.Accounts Receivables
Monitoring overdue accounts
Submitting monthly debtors list to Head Office
Ensuring that comments on customers accounts are updated twice a month,
7th & 25th Preparing handover documents

3.Cash Book
Capturing cashbook transactions from Bank Statements
Bank reconciliations

4. Daily Sales Report
Do cash-up every day & bank
Ensuring that Daily sales reports are sent to Head Office
Following up on queries associated with cash short banked or invoices short paid and unpaid
Follow up on refunds and credits

5.Other
Capturing customer accounts & discounts
Posting GL Batches on daily basis
Clearing miscellaneous posting in suspense account
Reallocation of miss-posted transactions in the General Ledger
